Original artwork description:

The old fig tree, with a thousand curved branches that seem to gesture in the air, casts a pink shadow on the earth of the path. All the other trees are watching it. It, so old and stern, has this shadow, so soft and delicate.
This work is dedicated to all those who live their lives with austerity, rigidity and determination, but who cannot hide their sensitive souls.

This painting was done in the studio in September 2023. It is the result of several studies made in the open air.
The work is painted in oil on Masonite, a panel made of pressed wood fibres. Masonite is a material widely used by artists in the first half of the 20th century as a support for their paintings because it is extremely resistant and crushproof. I love painting on this material because its very smooth surface allows me to achieve effects that cannot be achieved on other materials. I also have the guarantee of high durability.
The signature is in the lower right corner.
The painting is protected by a layer of satin acrylic varnish.
The work comes with a thin wooden frame in natural colour to protect the edges. It is ready to hang.
The work is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
"The pink shadow" is a literal translation of the original Italian title "L'ombra rosa".
