Original artwork description:

I saw this field whilst on a country walk in Kent earlier in the year. Most of the field was covered in bright pink netting, protecting the crops underneath. It was such a lovely and unusual colour for a field, I took dozens of photos of it which I used for inspiration for this impressionistic painting where I have tried to transform it into a more abstract view which could be a field of lavender at sunset as it turns more rosy in colour.
I liked the contrast between the cerise shade and the browns and greens of the part of the field which were not covered.
I used watercolour, ink, gesso and also image transfer from my original photo in some areas.
Although offered unframed, I can supply a basic white frame - please send an enquiry if interested.
