This is an ink drawing representing St Paul's journey across the Mediterranean to spread the teachings of Ichthys (Jesus). St Paul left the Holy Land heading to Cyprus and then onto the wider area of the Mediterranean. This drawing is part of a series of walks exploring the nature of Pilgrimage and how from the ancient writings we can plot St Paul's journey, representing as a GPS drawn image.
The image can be framed in either way seen in the images. What I found interesting is that the mapped journey when turned 90 degrees CCW gave the image the look of a Monk in a habit and carrying the Holy Book - leading to a resonance about the nature of Pilgrimage throughout the years.
