This series of Acrylic paintings was done a long time ago during a trip to the very beautiful Sun Moon Lake in Nantou, Taiwan. My wife and I love this place and visit as often as possible. These paintings were all done “en plein air” from the balcony of our hotel room. At the time I was interested in leaving areas of the base materials I was working on visible as I was experimenting with the visual effect of the paper being part of the image or even framing it in a way. This painting is a view of the small island known as the Pearl of the Lake by the local Aboriginal tribes in a bright cloudy afternoon. The colours of the mountains and lake change all day depending on the weather and at this time the beautiful emerald green colours were very prominent against the bright cloudy sky. It was painted in the afternoon after a nice day of walking by the lake.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver to every country at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
