Original artwork description:

"A pearl is a temple built by suffering around a grain of sand." (Kahlil Gibran). From here I was inspired to create this minimalist ink-on-paper drawing of an enigmatic female figure whose bare knee is auspicious of a bold short skirt, though portrayed with gloves and fur. But the pearl earring appears to be the jewel worn with distinct elegance.
