The Other Side _x000D_ 12x16 Acrylic on 400 gram aquarell watercolour paper _x000D_ _x000D_ This painting has been created by hallucinations I have due to REM intrusion which is caused by narcolepsy. This is one of several paintings I am working on that explore the level I can hallucinate into one artwork. It comes under genre maximilism. What I was fascinated by was when I turned it from landscape to profile I saw many more images and scenes and figures. This is an artwork that you could turn from landscape to portrait every week and it will show you new things. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
