" The Orchid Woman " is a painting in shades of green on a very pale almond green background, scratched to give it a linen look, depicting a plant-woman with a headdress and a vine-like body. The delicate beauty of her face acts as an orchid.

The central painting is set off by a thick border painted in bronze tones to act as a trompe-l'oeil passe-partout, the whole being housed on a poster board of thick watercolour paper and a real white passe-partout in thick cardboard so that it can be placed in a frame.

This work expresses the poetic gentleness of the feminine universe so dear to the artist, the peace that can be felt during a walk in the countryside, her love of nature, plants, life and unusual beings...
