On a visit to Aberdeenshire, North east Scotland last year, I came across this old knarled and twisted tree growing right next to an ancient standing stone. A living testament perhaps to times long past. It seemed tormented. I decided to paint it blue! This picture is framed and under glass with a dark blue frame.
