THE OFFER - Mixed media, with enamel and digital on hardboard 72x100 cm.
In this work is evident the invitation of the woman Eva who, with her persuasive gaze, entices the observer - the audience - to taste the fruit by sharing the choice that, inevitably, leads to the discovery of her own nakedness.
Disorder in the decomposition of planes, shadows and light in contrast, shapes that oppose each other from the insidious and sinuous one of the snake to that of the confident, determined, stable bird, ready to pounce on the fearsome prey to annihilate it.
Elements of this composition:
1-the woman offering the fruit. 2- the serpent symbolising sin. 3-the eagle symbolising good prevailing over evil. 4- the leaden and threatening sky.
The motivations for this composition:
They are to be found in the awareness that today more than ever, ‘evil’ is always lurking, and only the determination of the eagle, bathed in sunlight, which sees everything from above, in opposition to the serpent, symbol of darkness, can overcome evil.
Emotions: Awe and dream, manifestations of the real and subconscious worlds, finding ourselves free and sovereign in that calm that unites us: the beauty of Art.
