In the realm of dystopian romanticism, at sunset, a lone figure runs, or stumbles, towards a deserted suburban town.
My paintings are built from a mixture of Caspar David Friedrich's romantic paintings, film stills, Hudson River School Paintings, and contemporary suburban photography. The main importance is the mixture of beauty and looming threat. I seek to light scenarios which draw attention to the mood of a specific time of day. Each Landscape holds its own open-ended narration. A story to be found.
