For the composition of this work Genya was inspired by "The Queen of the Night" by Mozart.
It is a female personification of the night.

Genya chose black and white in order to create a stylised rendition full of delicate subtleties.
This painting is perfect over a mantelpiece or in a sitting room where it can be observed while enjoying your favourite glass of wine.
