Original artwork description:

It was right at dusk, and I was driving to a gallery to drop off some paintings in Northern California. The sky, with dark clouds passing through the luminous blue sky grabbed my attention. Then I looked down and saw this neon yellow strip of flowers, the mustard field. I had to stop the car, paint a quick sketch and take a photo. The next day I painted this scene on a larger canvas panel.
