Drawing inspired by Saint Catherine of Siena at the moment when, on the point of death, the stigmata she received on April 1, 1375 became evident. It seems in fact that Her stigmatization was different from that of St. Francis or Padre Pio, whose wounds were visible and bleeding. Those of the great Saint, for Her express prayer, ("Ah, Lord my God, that they do not appear, please, externally the scars in my body; it is enough for me to have them internally"), were made invisible for the whole life and only exhaling Her last breath occurred the phenomenon of the apparition of the five "holes".
