Original artwork description:

The Minch is a stretch of water between mainland Scotland and the outer Isles of Lewis and Harris in Scotland.
This painting is done in acrylic using a limited palette of blues greys and a little yellow/white.
Most of the sunsets I've seen are this color.
The ruined cottage is typical of old dwelling houses which dot the landscape in this area
This painting was inspired by the view but the technique is inspired by some contemporary Russian paintings I have seen recently.
