Markus found inspiration for this piece by watching a Spanish Veterinarian called 'Wild Frank' on the Discovery Channel. "The full grown African Bull went on full charge at him and he just casually turned and shouted "HEY" to the Elephant who was stopped in it's tracks just meters away by the real life equivalent of Jedi powers coming from the outstretched hand of this incredible man."
Sufficed to say, it left an impression on him.

"We have the power to assist with the balance of nature,
and in doing so, maybe we can also fix ourselves."

The texture makes this piece jump from the canvas, but it's the clever use of gold in the eyes (which reflect light at different angles) that really bring this piece to life. Once you have his glare, you're in.
