The care of the body goes through the care of the soul, the art and the beauty heal the soul, even the act of a surgeon is an expression of art.
In this painting there is a reference to the metaphysical painting, here we see the Estense Castle of Ferrara, my hometown, where I worked as a surgeon. In Ferrara the metaphysical painting is developed with De Chirico in the 10-20s of the last century.
