Original artwork description:

This painting was inspired by a poem written by my daughter. We decided to collaborate on this piece and include an excerpt of "The Memories of You" with this painting. For the buyer, we will provide a print-out of this excerpt with the painting. What a joy for a mother and daughter to produce art together. Here is the excerpt of the poem that inspired this work:

The memories of you smell like leather and smoke and canvas sails,
Like a campfire built by the sea that we filled with our dreams.
The light of it burns our eyes but we can’t look away.
I touch myself in all the places you’ve kissed me, and I know.
I will always know.
