The Melody of the Surf. ORIGINAL watercolor from the set Sea Melodies. 56x38cm (22x15in). The artwork is unique and one of a kind.
The sea sounds and fascinates, even if its melody is somewhere in the depths of the subconscious. And if I am not a musician but an artist, this sound turns into a watercolor. Recalling the music of the sea, I painted two sea watercolors "Dawn Prelude of the Sea" and "Melody of the Surf". They are different because the sea plays improvising every time. They are unique, just like every moment lived by the sea.
The Melody of the Surf
A bass clef is hidden in a shell of a rapa whelk. When you put the shell to your ear, you hear the sound of the surf. The notes-pebbles are rolling on the shore, the waves are bending in a musical staff and splattering, scattering in notes-splashes... A seagull is screeching, and a treble clef is inscribing into its wingbeat. And the melody of the surf sounds.
Watercolor on 100% cotton watercolor paper 140Ib
