Original artwork description:

A man descends the stone staircase of an old building. In the shadows underneath the staircase, a woman looks up to see the person.

One of an ongoing series, depicting a scene in which 2 people meet. Each meeting may be intended, unintended, felicitous, romantic, vexatious, sad, fleeting moments where the people don’t know each other, or even stalking. Ambiguity and mystery is deliberate as it is intended that the viewer adds their own back story to each occasion.

Charcoal on stretched linen, with side tacks. Sprayed with several coats of fixative. Hooks and wire added to back for hanging before sending.
