Original artwork description:

A woman sits on stairs by a window. In silhouette a person approaches her.

One of a series, depicting a scene in which 2 people meet. Each meeting may be intended, unintended, felicitous, romantic, vexatious, sad, fleeting moments where the people don’t know each other, or even stalking. Ambiguity and mystery is intended that the viewer adds their own back story to each occasion.

The monochrome of the charcoal evokes a sense of film noir and mystery. These artworks invite contemplation and stimulate the imagination.

Charcoal on stretched linen, with side tacks. Sprayed with fixative. Hooks and wire added to back for hanging before sending.
