Original artwork description:

This painting plays with power and the reversal of social norms. I use two birds which are notorious for displaying aggressive behavior and made the larger of the two - the loner Marabou stork - the compliant, subservient follower.

This wouldn’t happen in real life, I use the birds as metaphors for human behavior, and find anthropomorphic traits in all birds, but especially those with long legs. I’d love the marabou stork to be an MP or better, one of the Supreme Court Justices.
