Original artwork description:

Now men in Ukraine are held hostage by the state (men aged 18 to 60 are prohibited from leaving Ukraine). Freedom of movement no longer exists. In addition, people who try to escape in various ways are generally disgraced by society.
Because there are those who went to protect, fight, defend.
And almost everyone ukrainian already has acquaintances who died, or whose husband, father, brother, friend died...
The artwork is based on a real story, where two men tried to cross the border in a truck full of boxes, and when they were found and asked where they were going - they answered that for berries... and each of them paid $ 3.5k for this trip in boxes.
It was no accident that I depicted the man in a somewhat caricature way, because the most ridiculous attempts to escape are also laughed at, but of course there is nothing funny about this...
As an artist, I do not judge or rate this work.
I highlight what they are silent about.
I ask the viewer a question.

This work also refers to Kabakov’s work “The Man Who Flew into Space from His Room.” In a totalitarian state you can hide inside yourself. In a state that has been attacked and in which active hostilities are taking place - do you have this choice?
