The Magical Island
In my dreams
I imagine,
An island,
At nighttime,
Lit up,
Where all the kind natured people,
Live in harmony together.

A short poem of my feelings and fantasy.
I’d love to live on a small island just off the mainland of the south west coast.There is one island, that I can remember 15 years ago.It was just across the sea from Looe bay in South Cornwall and I have never forgotten it.It had two old ladies, I think they were sisters living on it.Where I went on a boat trip across to it and I didn’t want to leave.

I created this original watercolour Nocturne on hot pressed acid free watercolour paper-Bockingford 140lb.Using a three colour mixture in Holbein Watercolour paints I demonstrated to a gentleman student of 92 years of age whilst creating this and he replied, ‘there is a story to be told in this painting’.
