This bold and whimsical painting was created for the cover art of my children's book with the same name. The book was published in 2019. It is a night time adventure in which the Magic Bunk Bed takes a child named Borgi and Yejik the pinecone hedgehog on a magical journey to Moon City.

This piece is painted in my signature whimsical and warm pop-surrealism style. It is a cozy respite that keeps the viewer safely draped in mystery while simultaneously whisking one away on a fantastical adventure that will reminds of a loving memory long past.

The deep sea and cosmos merge in this fairy tale painting illustrated in decorative Russian folk style. Mossy house shingles turn to fish scales and forest and sea collides emerging in a cosmic angler fish with all of the accoutrements of a cozy bunk bed fully equipped with pillows, velvet throws, cubbies and lanterns. Lowbrow symbolism genre.
