Drawing in pastels and ink on cardboard inspired by Siegfried, the third musical drama of the tetralogy "The Ring of the Nibelung" by the German composer Richard Wagner (Leipzig 1813 - Venice 1883), first performed on August 16, 1876 at the Festspielhaus in Bayreuth. Siegfried, the hero par excellence of Germanic mythology, was strong, courageous, beautiful in appearance and armed with a magical sword with which he faced the dragon and killed it, then bathed in its blood to become invulnerable.
