" The Madona " is a Renaissance-style portrait of a woman painted in acrylic on cotton canvas stretched over wood, with a knife-applied relief for an antique crackle effect.

Her gentle face is framed by an old-fashioned headdress. The background is painted a luminous dark blue, while a golden halo surrounds her head, because a Madonna is above all a virgin, and this one seems to be none other than the eternal Mary, mother of Jesus...

The painting is housed in a magnificent antique Napoleon III frame carved in black and gold. It gives the whole a baroque effect.

Technique: water-soluble acrylic and oil paint, relief paste.
