Original artwork description:

"The Lost Realm" is an original mixed media painting. This began as a photo I took of an extreme close up of some moss and lichen on an old tree branch I found in the garden. I printed the photo onto canvas, and added layers of acrylic paint, some translucent, some opaque. I tried to bring out out the underwater, otherworldly feel of the subject.
