Original artwork description:

The overwhelming beauty of the sunflower season in the South of France cannot fail to inspire me. This piece was completed over several hours during the course of one day; my aim was to create a painting with vibrancy, texture and a burst of pure energy. The lone sunflower has been created using my ever favourite method of painting with palette knife. I shall never tire of feeling such joy each time I see these wonderful flowers all around. Painted on a slim edge canvas of 30 x 40 cm.
