Original artwork description:

This is a portrait study of a beautiful black man leaning against a wall. I enjoyed finding a range of colors in his skin tone and in the white shirt and wall. I'm pleased that I captured the feeling of a warm, connected gaze. This one was painted during some gloomy wintery days when I was craving light and comfort.
