Original artwork description:

An abstract impasto oil painting built over many layers of olive green, yellow and white oil paint. Liquin has been added to the paint to add a slight gloss.

Paint has been manipulated with a palette knife distributing the oils, taking off paint, scraping and applying another layer of colour. Tiny flecks of blue, violet and magenta are shining through. Like a lot of my work this painting is inspired by taking in the lushness of the different green hues in my garden interspersed with flashes of red and pink flowers.

The deep edges of the box canvas are painted in a cream white.
Hooks and wire have been applied to the painting and it is ready for hanging.
