Original artwork description:

A painting created in 1992 during a trip to St Ives with Somerset College fine art. I watched a fisherman on his boat down by the shore and thought about the fishing industry of time gone by and imagined what it would be like if there was only one fisherman left in the world.

The painting is an expressive style after Van Gogh, inspired by his marks and expressing feeling in the whirling clouds above, loose and free.

The painting is painted on oil board.
