Original artwork description:

The 10 scenes of The lamp.
This project goes back a ways… There was a time back in the 1980’s when I thought more in terms of multi panels to express my ideas, comic strip style. This is one of those projects.
Available as a whole set or singles, or any multiple of pages depending on availability. For now all are still available.
Divided into part one and part two each with a title page adding up to 12 frames.
A humorous look at the (human) psyche, inspired by my bendy table lamp.
Part one, the first title + 5 pages, represents the lamp becoming aware of itself. Part two, second title + 5 pages, shows what it does with its awareness!
The close up picture is to get a better feel for the texture and brushstroke. Then there’s me holding the folder open in which I keep the 12 pages... for perspective...
Painted on Nepal handmade paper , a parchment type paper, with color sumi calligraphy inksticks. HxW: 6.9 x 7.2 in, 17.6 x 18.2 cm
From Wikipedia
Inksticks (Chinese: 墨; pinyin: mò) or ink cakes are a type of solid Chinese ink used traditionally in several Chinese and East Asian art forms such as calligraphy and brush painting. Inksticks are made mainly of soot and animal glue. To make ink, the inkstick is ground against an inkstone with a small quantity of water to produce a dark liquid which is then applied with an ink brush. A good inkstick can be as hard as stone. Coloured ink is oil soot ink that has been blended with pigments to create a solid ink of color
The date is on the last panel only, Aug. 1987. The paint looks as fresh now as when the work was newly done, a testament to the quality of the paint & the paper.

My work at that time was done without the use of preliminary sketches, or pencil lines. This is paint applied directly onto a blank page.
Available individually, but best as a complete set.
Packaging for my small paintings like this one is sealed in plastic sleeve, sealed in a padded hard plastic file case, and in an envelope.
Please note that you can purchase in one order up to 3 paintings of same size or smaller to be included in the same 1 shipping fee.
If you purchase in one order all 12 panels of this series, also charged only 1 shipping fee.
