My grand parents lived in a big old house on the Labbe River.
She is a big river, wide and deep, and she moves deceptively slowly, sluggish almost. But always moving.
As a young girl, every summer I would meet my cousins there and we would spend all day exploring her, swimming and fishing and adventuring.
This painting is a view of the river at last light.
Painted with oil on canvas, lots of layering and structure.
