The picture depicts the Turkish Kiraly Bath in Budapest. The Turks lived in Hungary for 150 years in the 16th-17th centuries, so there are many Turkish monuments around the country. Many baths have been built by them and several of these places still function as baths today. These baths have a unique atmosphere which is an emblematic part of the famous Budapest feeling. I especially love the rustic materials from the Middle Ages, exotic shapes, and oriental domes which created a unique fusion of Hungarian and Turkish culture.
In recent years, I have used OSB as a basis. By retracting the paint layers, I use the texture of the veneer as part of my compositions to create a unique rustic industrial atmosphere. This is recycled art.
The painting is made with self-made paint, which consists of pigments and beeswax. Does not contain oil or other paints.
The procedure itself dates back to antiquity and has been known for thousands of years. Only a few artists around the world work with wax on its own.
The encaustic is equipped with a simple wooden exhibition frame, which harmonizes with the industrial style of the painting and highlights it well. Ready to hang!
This work will be delivered with Care Instructions for my encaustic paintings and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping. I ship this work in cardboard boxes carefully wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard.
If you like my paintings you can have a piece of art for your beloved place.
