This photo was taken with infrared film during my 2014 motorcycle trip in Thailand. In the infrared spectrum of rays, all plants (due to the content of chlorophyll in them) otherwise transmit light. And they seem in the picture as if in the snow. But snow never happens in the tropics.
Pictured is Koh Chang at low tide.
As an artist, I work with the polysemy of the concept of "migration", I am looking for new facets of a multicultural and multiethnic world community.
Dynamic perception, rejection of settled life, migration - in my artistic practice, these are tools for the "mental map" re-actualization, a way to see more clearly, dropping again and again the automaticity of perception. Nomadism as an instrument of cognition and estrangement, a hormone of fresh perception, transferred to the field of art, allows you to leave room for a miracle, for the manifestation of life itself.
photo printed on paper Hahnemühle Baryta.
Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta is a glossy, white, cellulose-based art paper with a surface coating developed for FineArt prints. With its smooth texture, it adds amazing vitality and depth to your prints. Its high quality coating guarantees deep black tones, impressive contrast and perfect color details. The barium sulphate used in its special coating gives this paper a natural shine that isn’t found in others. It protects your prints for many years with its acid-free structure in compliance with the ISO 9706 standards. FineArt Baryta is ideal for most art prints, especially black and white and color photography.
It is also possible to print in other sizes, write to me if this is relevant for you.
The painting is carefully packed and will be delivered to you by international courier service within 4-7 days, depending on your destination.
