Artwork description:

This etching of a horse swimming with a man was inspired by a trip to Australia when I watched a nervous horse being led into the sparkling sea by it's trainer.
Nicholas Evans the author of the Novel 'The Horse whisperer' owns the first artwork I made of this scene and this is what he said.
'My son gave me this exquisite picture when my health was at a very low ebb. There is a still serenity about it that I found very moving. It captures the essence of that gentle trust that can exist between a man and a horse. I'm well again now and often take a long look at Amanda's picture on my office wall'.

Materials used:

Zinc ething plate, acid, wax, aquatint resin, printing inks, etching paper, etching press.
