Ink drawing inspired by the opera "Lohengrin", a romantic drama composed and written by the German musician Richard Wagner (Leipzig 1813 - Venice 1883) who was inspired by a cycle of medieval legends of Northern Europe: the drama involves in the music the Breton poetry, the deeds that refer to Arthur and the epic tale of the Hero of the Grail cycle. As the son of Parsifal, one of the knights of the Round Table, Lohengrin was predestined to a life as a knight of the Holy Grail, poetically appearing from the sea in shining armor on a boat pulled by a silver swan. The plot continuously reflects the myths: it is the poem of the most remote human origins, in which the German musician reminds the world that myth determines history.
