The Inspiration: Creativity drawn from nature is a source of endless inspiration and chances to capture emotional experiences in subtly powerful ways. I think that’s why I’m always drawn to capture trees, clouds, and the horizon in pieces like “The Heart Remains.” The gold leaf details on the horizon line offer a unique lightness and awakening to the piece, reminding me of sunrise. Hearing about the impression each piece leaves with individuals will always be my favorite part of the painting process.
