This piece is a watercolour on paper painting.
It is of a hare, showing the head, ears and upper body. It is the profile of the hare, showing the hares right side.
He has nice big alert ears, and a bright, watchful eye, scanning the vicinity for possible danger.
This big gorgeous wild eye is the focal point of this painting.
His whiskers are sharp and pointy.
I have painted the background with different shades of green in a loose, expressive manner, and this compliments the colouring of the hare and also gives the indication of the hares natural habitat out there in the wild green spaces of the countryside.
I also included a delicious splash of blue at the top of this piece to break up the green and to add further interest and detail.
I have signed this painting in the bottom right hand corner. And, as with all my work, on the back you will find I have signed, titled, and dated this piece.
Also, photographs do not do my work justice. You will discover upon receiving your fabulous new hare painting, that the colours are bright, luscious and vibrant.
