The Harbour at Courtown II

'Make voyages! Attempt them... there's nothing else.' (Tennessee Williams)
There is something endlessly and quietly fascinating to me about harbours and marinas. Perhaps it is the sense of adventure that they offer, or maybe all the colour and bustle and movement which seem to permeate the moorings. In any event, they always provide a fascinating subject. This is the second painting I did of the Courtown harbour in County Wexford in Ireland, completed from studies I made at the Art in the Open international painting festival in 2014.
