Original artwork description:

“If a cat has decided to love you, there is nothing you can do.” (Katrina Smythe). From there I drew inspiration in making this painting depicting the innocence and sweetness of a little girl engaged in the tender embrace of her beloved cat. The vividness and depth of their emotions flow through acrylics, enamels and inks, in which expressionism blends with realism to evoke the purity and sincerity of their affections for each other. This painting not only enlivens the space with warmth and color, but also celebrates the innocence and irreplaceable companionship of a furry friend, who seems to be the embodiment of everything soft, fluffy and unmistakably silky.
