“A Throne of Stone on Irish green - but who will pass the Wolven Queen?”
Recently I have been exploring the theme of human/ animal relationships which has a mystic fascination for me; especially as regards the female element. The wolves in this painting are real wolves that I photographed at a secret location in the South East of England. The seated one looks deceptively mild here, she was truly ferocious and I was the only one who get near enough to her to photograph her. Interestingly all the other photographers were male! The painting is in Oil and is large and imposing with dominant greens and golds. It is painted all around the edges and does not need framing.
Canvas, Stretcher bars, Oil Paint
