A delicate, quiet, contemplative image of a woman in gold, turquoise and deep blue.
With her hand to her breast and closed eyes, she is wearing a golden transparent veil, fine transparent gloves, and standing in front of a clearing sky. The rolling black clouds are edged in gold and behind her rain is falling.

Inspired by the book of the same name as well as the wonderful Lincolnshire skies where I live on the edge of the Wolds.

It is a one-off image which I intitally drew in an app on my iPad, then printed it onto Archival Matte paper, painted onto it in gold gouache and acrylic wash, and finally drew in fine graphite and coloured pencils. The signature is in pencil.

Presented unframed in an archival mount.
I have taken some of the photos under evening light to show off the shimmering quality of the gold gouache.
