Original artwork description:

The Golden Hour. A celebration of the hour or so before the sun dips out of sight, when nature is drenched in a golden sunlight with long cast intense shadows. The ochre reeds and crop looks magical in the illumination of the sun.

The deep purples and reds accentuate the orange and ochre colours of the composition. Loose brushstrokes suggest the movement in the gentle evening breeze.

Creating the piece
Working on the textured side of board with gesso prime, deep acrylic washes were worked over with impasto acrylic with loose brushwork
