It gives measure of the Bay of San Francisco to which it crosses, while beautifying it. It is the Golden Gate on two pillars like vertical sighs that maintain another long horizontal and wavy sigh. The cadmium red of its irons combines perfectly with the manganese blue of the Californian sky and the waters it crosses. The broken lines, with which it is represented in the painting, maintain and balance the great length of the bridge and make it more stable and resistant.

Da medida de la Bahia de San Francisco a la que atraviesa, a la vez que la embellece.
Es el Golden Gate sobre dos pilares como suspiros en vertical que mantienen otro largo suspiro horizontal y ondulado. El rojo de cadmio de sus hierros combina a la perfeccion con el azul manganeso del cielo californiano y de las aguas a las que atraviesa.
Las lineas quebradas, con que se representa en el cuadro, mantienen y equilibran la gran longitud del puente y lo hacen mas estable y resistente.
