The more I painted, the deeper the colours seemed to get. Like a countryside in vivid shades of scarlet, saffron and russet, on an autumn day, where after the rain the sun just comes out again.
This is a painting made with lots of layers of paint in all kind of colours shining through the surface, so that you can even find some pink, blue and red spots in between these natural colours. Theses layers make the painting quite textured and give it its special effect.
