Original artwork description:

"I wear myself out trying to render the orange trees so that they're not stiff but like those I saw by Botticelli in Florence. It's a dream that won't come true.”
Berthe Morisot

A large painting of my ladies, I wanted it very colourful, I wanted the painting to make a statement. I looked to Botticelli for inspiration I just love his use of colours.

My goddess in the middle unlike the other two is dressed as if ready to venture out, I wanted her to look dramatic and goddess like. Lady in blue to her right head bowed slightly as in reverence.

Lady of many colours on the left also head bowed but with a slight arrogance with her body turned slightly away maybe she wants to be the goddess.

All three ladies are lying on a lustrous bed of silken scarfs and cushions, their hands adorned by gloves so their touch is sensuous. They are exquisite, voluptuous, luscious timeless and without boundaries or nationalities.

My art explores many styles, from Modernism through Impressionism, Expressionism and Cubism to the more traditional and homespun themes that reflects the immense pride I have in Thailand.

The paintings that I create are meant to inspire and uplift, as well as enhance your interiors. I believe that our homes should be sanctuaries that surrounds us with comfort, colour, beauty and the things we love. If you feel an emotional connection to a work, or you just love the colours and the art makes you feel good, then I've accomplished what I set out to do.

Working primarily in oil. I employ bold use of colour woven into my art to produce original and striking paintings. An accomplished fine portrait artist my true passion is in colour and how arrangement of colour can produce a different emotional experience of art.

I want to create paintings which draw the viewer in, which makes them stop…and then see more than the initial work form and colour. These are paintings which hold the eye and where unexpected grace and elegance can be found amongst a fierce hub of colour.

I live in a beautiful part of Thailand, so my art tells vivid and thought-provoking stories of my life, my land, and its people. A lot of the paintings go back to my early childhood when I worked in the rice fields, and later driving a pick up truck round the villages selling vegetables where I met some wonderful people of which I have fond memories.

I want my ladies to be exquisite, strong, in control, of indeterminate origin and voluptuous. I want the tone beautifully considered, profoundly sympathetic, and deeply respectful and admiring of the female form portrayed in a atmosphere of wonder, intrigue in all its humble yet life-affirming glory.

Hopefully if you see a work you'll treat yourself to it! Or maybe you're considering this artwork for a special gift. What you're really investing in is what makes you or the recipient feel good. So, if you love it or you think they're going to love it -- follow your instinct and buy it!
