“With my Dutch links I get frequently emails from Holland. I got this photo and it just 'jumped' on me. I knew I had to paint it. I think the girl is accepting her fate to work on a farm, but she is wishing for a more glamorous life. Sometimes she would just allow herself a fleeting moment to ponder on being a princess.” This work is varnished and sides are painted black.
