In this picture I am expressing two different personalities. This is a woman's home - very vintage and old fashioned looking. She has a cut work lace covering her table, and a decorative glass lamp. (Its cord is cotton thread.) Also an all-white cat. But on the table is a picture of her gentleman friend, and he seems a bit edgy and more modern. Actually, I do have a companion piece to this called "The Gentleman's Lady Friend" where you see his more streamlined taste in interiors, as well as a photo of her. I will be listing it in the near future.
So, I wonder if love will overcome these differences? I know a couple who have been engaged for 15 years and maintain separate living arrangements. Why not?
As always this piece is made of fine paper, archival glue and museum board. The elements of the picture are in relief, which gives it a three dimensional effect. The picture comes matted and ready for a frame and UV glass. The outside measurements are 20" X 22"
