Former cruise ship and car ferry The Duke of Lancaster arrived in Llanerch-y-Mor, North Wales, in August 1979. A plan to turn the ship into a leisure complex met with obstruction and bureaucracy from the local authorities, ultimately resulting in the abandonment of the project and the ship being left to rust. On a bright Spring day, I created a series of images capturing the beautiful decay of this once-magnificent vessel.

This large statement piece is number one from an edition of just 7. Hand-signed and numbered on the back, with a certificate of authenticity.

Aluminium mounting is the ultimate ready-to-hang enhancement to your home or workplace, a spectacular image and a sleek and modern mounting system which creates a stunning piece of gallery standard artwork and is the perfect way to show off this powerful piece of photographic art.

The photograph is professionally lab-printed onto Fuji Crystal Archive paper using a traditional photo-chemical process, then mounted and sealed on a 3 layer aluminium substrate (for superb stability and warp-resistance). Finally, a UV-protective coating is applied to protect the print. Wall-fixings are pre-fitted, so the piece is ready to hang straight away.

Aluminium-mounted prints are also available in other sizes, alongside unmounted prints in a range of sizes on Hahnemühle FineArt Pearl paper (or similar), hand-signed and numbered in the border. The complete edition is limited to 25 prints across all sizes and finishes. Please contact me for information and pricing on different size and finish options, or with any other questions.

Please be aware that gallery-quality prints of this kind takes a little time. Turnaround times vary from 7 business days for unmounted prints to 10 business days on average for canvas and aluminium mounting, after which I take delivery of the work for inspection before shipping to you. Guaranteed to be worth the wait!

In-context images simulated and for illustration purposes only.
